Money is very important while touring cities or village in any part of the world. So, for this trip, you can better bring a mixture of large and small denominations in major currencies like USD, CAD, AUD or EUR. Because a different person has their own style or way of spending money. But, as a trip planner, we recommend USD 10 – 15 per meal. If you have a habit of smoking or drinking wine or alcoholic bottle, then could be more. Another, shopping on the store or wherever around the travel market is very hard to predict. Coz, many individuals shop then they desire. Lastly, change enough cash into Chinese Yuan for the last entire length of your time in Tibet.

Money Exchange

In Kathmandu: For the Currency exchange into Nepalese Rupees, you can change it in the Airport or at a bank or at foreign exchange counter nearby your hotel. There are lots of exchange counter in enchanting center Thamel. For the bank credit card to receive advance money, you can use well known Bank ATM, for instance, Nabil Bank, Himalayan Bank, Nepal Investment Bank, Standard Chartered Bank etc. The ATM withdrawal money is in NPR only.

In Tibet Lhasa: For changing the major currency into Chinese Yuan (CNY), you can change it at Gongkar Airport and also at Bank of China branches in Lhasa. About credit card while using ATM they will even cut the service charge of 3.4% and cash withdrawal will be at CNY only. It should not be dependent upon ATM, because there are less which accept the credit card like Master Cards, VISA etc. If you will have much more CNY currency and looking to exchange into NPR then, while you come back to Kathmandu, you can exchange it.

Tipping is open-handed and benevolent matter. In fact, tips are not covered by your trip cost. Firstly, appreciate the value of work those individuals who have done to complete your tour with good satisfaction. After that, the desire to reward the effort and hard work of the drivers and guide who have done their best to complete your dream tour. According to this we suggest: USD 5 per day for a group of 8+ and USD 6 for the Small group.

Your personal travel insurance is very important in the case of the emergency situation. So, take out all-inclusive travel insurance before you start the trip for your home country. Your insurance must cover against peculiar accidents, medicinal expenses, emergency evacuation (Heli rescue) and personal liability. We would also like to suggest that if it covers cancellation, loss of luggage and personal expensive things.
